About
Organic single malt distillery established in a restored 1673 magnanerie (silkworm farm) at the foot of the Vercors massif. Master distiller Eric Cordelle designed a custom still called 'Nautilus' that distills at low temperature (50C instead of the usual 100C), producing a remarkably aromatic spirit. Their Sequoia whisky brand is named after the centennial giant sequoia tree dominating the distillery buildings. Everything is brewed, distilled, aged, and bottled on site. Multi-award-winning organic production in one of France's most dramatic Alpine settings.
